Engine sounds on x86gp2

Post by Shelomo2 »

Does anyone know how I can install the sound using the folder that x86 itself provides? When I try to use GP2EDIT, it doesn't load the sound in the game and continues to use the original sound.

The x86gp2 creator is a person that goes by the name Hatcher. He does not have an account here yet. I would help you if I knew about x86gp2, but I just have regular gp2 right now. Maybe some other members know how to do this.

I posted this question for your on the gp2discord and got this feedback from a helpful user "max power racing" :

I get it working this way: first you have to have folder in your gp2\content\enginesounds. in my example it is "bmw". then you have to name wav files as in this screenshot. I dont use enginesound.cfg file, but I know it's possible to tune things (maybe someone here knows it better). Then you have edit your tad file, here is screenshot of my example "bmw" sounds
